Terms of Service
Last updated: [date these terms take effect]
Draft — not yet in effect
This text describes how Share Dock works today. Highlighted items still need to be filled in, and the whole text needs legal review before Share Dock opens to the public.
These terms are an agreement between you and Habib Latif, who operates Share Dock (“Share Dock”, “we”), for using Share-Dock.com. By creating an account you accept them. If you use Share Dock for an organisation, you accept them on its behalf and confirm you may do so.
What Share Dock does
Share Dock lets you prepare posts, schedule them and publish them to social networks you connect, and shows each network’s result. Which networks are available, and what each supports, is shown in the app and may change, for example when a network changes its rules or its approval of Share Dock.
Your account
- Give accurate details and keep your password and two-factor device safe. You are responsible for what happens in your account.
- You must be at least 13 years old, and old enough to agree to these terms where you live (or have a parent or guardian agree for you).
- Workspace owners decide who else can see and act in their workspace.
Your content and connected accounts
- Your posts, photos and videos stay yours. You give us permission to store, copy, resize and send them only as needed to provide the service, including sending them to the networks you choose.
- You confirm you have the rights to everything you publish and that it follows the law and the rules of each network you publish to, such as the X Terms, the YouTube Terms of Service and the Instagram Terms of Use.
- You may connect only accounts you are allowed to manage. You can disconnect them at any time.
Acceptable use
Do not use Share Dock to send spam, to mislead people, to infringe others’ rights, to publish unlawful content, to get around a network’s limits, or to probe, overload or break into Share Dock or anyone else. We may suspend accounts that do.
Publishing results
Share Dock publishes through each network’s official tools and reports what the network tells us. Networks can be slow, change their rules, reject a post or fail to answer. When we cannot tell whether a post went out, Share Dock tells you rather than sending it again, so a post may need your attention. We do not promise that every post is published at the exact time or at all, and we are not responsible for a network’s decisions about your content or account.
Price
Share Dock is free while it is in testing. If we introduce paid plans, we will show the price and what it includes before you are asked to pay, and payment terms will apply then.
Ending the agreement
You can stop using Share Dock at any time and ask us to delete your account (see Deleting your data). We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or end the service with 30 days’ notice, giving you time to save your content.
Liability
Share Dock is provided as it is, while it is being tested. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses or lost profits, and our total liability is limited to the greater of CA$100 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes and law
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will tell you before the change takes effect. These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, and disputes go to the courts of Ontario, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring them elsewhere.
